The Tea Garden
The Tea Garden is for your convenience to rest
and recover with a cup of tea, coffee or soft
drink of your choice. You may choose one or
more from our delicious range of cakes and
biscuits. The Tea Garden has a pair of box topiary
teddy bears and a pair of Squirrel Nutkins.
On the back wall is a plant of the Japanese
wineberry. This is much loved by the birds
when it ripens its orangey red fruit, visitors
like the fruit too. The young stems of this are
covered with bright red bristles and are very
decorative. The fruit which ripens in August is
produced in bunches and look rather like
orangey-red blackberries. This climber is not
often seen and deserves to be more widely grown.
