On the northern edge of the New Walled Garden we find the Vegetable and Cutting Garden. Today this is mainly used as stock beds and borders in an effort to keep the costs of plant production to a minimum. It also serves as a convenient source of cut flowers for the house, tea rooms and for Norwich Cathedral too where Alan does the flowers several times a year. Here again you will find pots used for decorative and productive effect, the large central pot containing a productive specimen of the fig ‘Brown Turkey’. We try to feature a ‘new’ variety of vegetable annually.
